The system disk partition uses gpt or msdos?

My machine has four hard disks and each is 4TB . In the bios settings, I set the boot mode is 'BIOS',in the  installation, I chose 'sda' as the system disk, after installation, I found "/dev/sda" partition table is 'msdos', there are 2TB is wasted.

I would like to know, in the bios settings, if I choose 'UEFI' , automatic installation will use  'gpt' as "/dev/sda" partition table?

Hi,

I understand the system did install and boots fine and your issue is with the partition size of the system/boot disk.  It is better to have your OSDs each on a separate dedicated disk outside the system disk, it is not a good idea to have an OSD on extra space on the system disk. Most storage systems i know, even plain RAID 5, do not use extra space on system disk for data storage.

To add to the above: the system disk partitions are currently done using fdisk/BIOS.

Thanks, Why not use GPT?  if the system disk is greater than 2TB,the remaining disk capacity is wasted. Or, In the installation interface, allowing users to choose the system disk partition.

The data disks for OSDs do use GPT
