August 2, 2017, 5:39 amQuote from therm on August 2, 2017, 5:39 amIt should be possible to provide Luns from more than one pool. Pool management could be done by hand, but assigning luns from them would be the first step. I am thinking about a 'backup pool' with lower replication level on isolated disks without any flash for the journal in front.

Dennis

It would be useful to have "production" pool(s) with say 3+ replicas and "secondary" or "backup" pools with say just 2 replicas.

I think you said that you will put the repo out sometime soon, I think it will be good so that we dont just bombard you with feature requests but get a chance to contribute as well.
Thanks for all of your great work!

Our current thinking how to use PetaSAN in our environment really depends on this feature. (Pool1 is SAS and Pool2 is SSD provided for vmware over iSCSI)
Is there a way how we can support you to accelerate this feature? (moneywise) 😀

I was looking around to see if I can create pool and rbd image manually and then attach it, but looks like your code is coded by default to use "rbd" pool 🙂
