Bug in move_paths

Pages: 1 2 3

For the cases where you see/saw duplicate ips: in the ui, what server does the ui say has this ip assigned ?

Can you please email the logs for both servers.

Apart from you having to delete the ip manually ..do you have other problems impacting you ?

Also to understand you correctly, you also have other servers aside from these 2 that are serving other paths..since i do not see all the paths active on both servers.

Note we tested move_path today and although we reproduced the "main" ip issue but cannot reproduce the duplicate ip case. This is puzzling since the first thing the move command does is delete the ip. Also in Consul there is key indicating which server is assigned the ip and each server checks Consul regularly and removes any ips it is not assigned and also removes all ips if it cannot communicate with Consul.

That seems to be all. This first occured after setting this setting (echo...) today.

A third one.

We will look at the logs and will try to enhance the move_path script to help us know why it could fail in ip deletion and not to proceed if this happens.

New version of move_path works fine for now!
