Idon't need / want three nodes cluster. I have two VMware 6 hosts and want to give them common storage.

Theoretically you can run 3 PetaSAN nodes virtualized in a single host, but it is meant to be used in a scale out way and will not give good performance in a single node installation.

I have already tried a a lot of other solutions, but still searching for "right one". From what I have seen Peta SAN has a very nice and intuitive GUI, but is unfortunately too much for my needs.
I don't quite understand why it would not perform well on the single node, when all the other solutions do, but you certainly have you reasons.
Thanks again.
Best regards

Using PetaSAN in single mode is not possibile or it make no sense?
I mean: if I want to use the sharing features (iSCSI/NFS) and WebGUI of PetaSAN on already redundant storage (RAID Controller), can I?
