NFS Support

Hi,

I was looking for a scalable Storage solution and found PetaSAN.
It looks quit usable but i just wanted to know if there is also the possibility to use NFS as a connection to my nodes instead of iSCSI ?

Hello Robert,

Currently our focus is iSCSI block storage. We are of course interested in NFS in the future.

Are you using it in a Linux environment or VMWare ? If in Linux do you see NFS as better than going to CephFS directly ?

Thanks for your quick answer,

We are using Proxmox and i know there is an Ceph connection directly included,

but Ceph seemed to be a quit complicated thing to mange so i am looking for a easy scalable solution,

I'll keep following you Project 😉 and looking forward to any nfs support!

Maybe more chance now that Red Hat is supporting NFS on Jewel? http://www.zdnet.com/article/red-hat-supports-nfs-in-ceph-storage-2-3/
