1) For best practices, in is better to keep your SAN traffic separated, vmware recommendations https://storagehub.vmware.com/export_to_pdf/best-practices-for-running-vmware-vsphere-on-iscsi

section 5.1

"Best practice is to have a dedicated LAN for iSCSI traffic and not share the network with other network traffic"

the same recommendations is made by all major SAN vendors. I understand your situation and the need to use vlans, but it should be really not the first choice.

2) The following might help you to look into to add vlan support:
/opt/petasan/scripts/node_start_ips.py
/opt/petasan/config/cluster_info.json
/opt/petasan/config/node_info.json

Hello admin,

Thanks for the reply,  so your min setup is 2 NICs, which you can combine ISCSI, and Backend ?

What is the switch port setup you used,  on both petasan and your switch?

Thanks

access mode, no port trunking.  if using 2 nics/bonds  you can combine mang. + iscsi 1 + backend 1 into nic1 and iscsi 2 and backend 2 into nic 2.

We will try that in our next test and keep you posted.
Thanks
