I have 2 dell poweredge R730 servers with same processing capabilities, ram and storage space. Third server is of IBM and it have same storage space but different processing and ram capability as compare dell servers. Can i proceed in this case ? Please guide

Generally to get the best usage of your hardware, try to have equal capabilities per host, else in case for example your IBM server has less cpu power than your other 2 nodes, it will slow them down. If you had a lot of servers that can be grouped into a few performance groups, you can create different performance pools, but this is not the case here.

Assume you have 2 nodes with similar cpu/cores/ram/net bandwidth, but you place double the storage on the first node: that node will be serving double the io than the second, so its resources will saturate under load quicker than the second hence become a performance bottleneck, this is not an ideal tuning.
A properly tuned cluster will have all nodes stressed the same, and moreover different resources within a node (cpu/disks/net) stressed the same. For example if your disks are 90% busy yet your cpu are only 20%, you have bought cpu resources that are not being used (in such case adding more disks or using faster disks will be better)....and vice versa. PetaSAN cluster benchmark + its extensive load statistics is there to help you tune your cluster to get the best from your hardware.
