yes of course. the installer will also update existing installations. these tunings include generic enhancements + some vmware specific, some vmware tuning needs to be done on the esxi side.

Yes, as indicated, you need to reboot both on the PetaSAN side as well as ESXi.

Does this tuning support Linux clients? Does virtualization of xenserver7.6 or KVM's centos7.6 client need to be tuned?

The tuning was for PetaSAN hosts as well as VMWare ESXi clients. For other iSCSI client would have different configuration.

The tuning tests we did were for VMWare and Windows clients, so far.
