Release 2.5.0

New Features:

Can you share the expected launch time?

If you share with SMB, what is the size limit of the partition?

we are shooting for mid Feb.

all shares are stored on the backend CephFS filesystem, so the size will grow as you add more OSDs.

Will it be possible to share the cephfs without CIFS/SMB via petasan webinterface?

Yes absolutely, any linux client can access the CephFS filesystem, just having the client secret key (copy exiting client key from PetaSAN cluster or create new one), will allow any linux client to access and mount the filesystem.

Best use a recent kernel or a major distro  to get good performance.

The CIFS/SMB shares will be under /cifs in the root CephFS, your clients can use other directories if you wish to use separate areas.

can we get a mobile web interface so can VPN from a phone to do any small changes when we are not on the premise?

also I have a question. I'm having issues with my iSCSI drives stopping randomly for no reason! are you able to help me with it if I paid for just this fix instead of the whole year plan?

Will 2.5 include a newer ceph version or will it stay at 14.2.2?
