I know it's a rather exotic configuration, and target-mode isn't supported on all FC HBA's, and latency might be an issue, and vendors won't be happy about the unsupported hardware stack, and a bit of magic* is required to make an Xsan play well with anything other than a VTrak, but I'd definitely love to have an easily-configured FC gateway to a Ceph cluster!
* A small, empty LUN0 on each target seems to alleviate a lot of multipath issues. Thanks to AbstractRude on Xsanity for the tip.
