It is worth mentioning here that current version of PetaSAN does not support caching, so you either use all SSD or all spinning disks. For an all spinning installation, the performance will not be great for a small number of disks (20 or less), of course the more disks and nodes you add the faster it will go.
Lastly we will be publishing a documentation guide which will cover performance tuning for generic hardware.
