Now, some users just noticed that there is no support for efficiently searching files in the CIFS shares; some goggling about this matter make me stomp into the WSP protocol, which is basically how Windows clients can access a search index hosted on the CIFS server. It seems like no real implementation of WSP exists in official Samba right now: somebody at Suse did some initial research in 2017 (https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2017-January/117990.html), but nothing stable yet. Do you have any plans to include something like this in a future version? It could be enough to support an external Elasticsearch cluster, and just add the WSP to the samba daemons in Petasan.
This addition would make Petasan really stand out in comparison to Windows Servers for file sharing.
Thanks again for a great software package!
