I know its a lot of work.. On another topic with release 2.5 I had intermittent shutdowns of HP DL360 G9,s and never really could figure out why, so once fencing was removed no issues, I was wondering if it is ok to change the max heartbeat to 20 seconds and leave fencing on for this new upgraded release (or any rather)
while I don't know for absolutely certain, and I have zero issues with older model HP servers, I am using dual port 10GB nics. for each server and have several combined tasks on them (mon, iscsi, etc)

Re heartbeat for fencing, this is related to the service layer managed by Consul and not related to the Ceph OSD heartbeat. The Consul configuration is built in.
