we are evaluating PetaSAN for an VMware Cluster. At the moment we have installed a cluster with 3 nodes.
Is it correct that we can only configure one backend Network via webinterface? For testing i have configured the backend2 wir the json config files but i´m not sure if this will be there after an update / upgrade of PetaSAN.
Maybe it´s a bug that it is not configurable?
Best regards
Markus

If you have more nics you can bond them to this single network for both bandwidth and for redundancy. This is why now in our ui we create a cluster with 1 backend only. However we do honor the json config, so you can edit it as you did and things will work..upgrades will honor the separate networks also if you try to join new nodes to your current cluster, the ui will ask you for backend 1 and backend 2 settings.

If this is a pressing thing for you and you are willing to pay for us to add this, send us an email. Alternatively you can maybe use a cifs/nfs share and make it read only.
