I'm currently testing with CephFS & Samba. I would like to use this as a replacement of a windows fileserver. I'm wondering what the best backup solution would be to backup this filesystem ? What tools can be used to just backup the data on the CephFS filessystem. (Current backup software we use is Naviko to backup the virtual machine hosting the fileshare).

Currently you would create/manage cephfs snapshots manually and create backups from these snapshots.
We do plan to support this from the ui, we also plan to have time warp / snapshots revert of files and directories fully integrated with the Windows desktop.
