5 nodes
6 hdd osd per node
223GB ssd on each host for OS
223GB ssd on each host not currently configured
Question: ssd is a consumer version
the 223GB ssd that is not currently configured should I use it for:
1 - cache
2 - journal

What would happen if the ssd is used as a journal and it fails? Since I would have an ssd journal on each node, do they replicate to each other?
Thanks for the reply.

This is not something to fear. Journals do not replicate themselves to other nodes, the OSD process is responsible for replication.
