Happy to announce the release of PetaSAN 2.8!
New Features:
  • S3 Object Storage.
    • Support for Placement Targets and Storage Classes to define storage pools with different performance parameters.
    • Ability to map a default storage pool per user.
    • Erasure Coding pools supported.
    • Quota limits per user: can be specified by number of buckets or by capacity.
    • Multisite/Multizone support ( MultiZonegoups not supported ) with async replication among clusters.
    • Multisite/Multizone object reads/writes running in active/active mode among different clusters.
    • Multiple active/active Load Balancer setup (NGINX) for increased performance.
    • Https support.
    • Multi-part upload support.
    • Verified on common client tools: Amazon AWS CLI, Amazon AWS SDK for Python, S3 Browser, Cyberduck.
  • Misc enhancements.
  • Ceph Octopus 15.2.13.
