When I tried to create a sub-user in the format "tenant$user", I saw that Petasan strips the part after the "$", effectively making it impossible to setup a tenant with sub-users, That would in turn mean, if I'm not wrong, that we'll have a single large namespace for buckets, which could be less than convenient on a large installation.
Are there plans to support this in the future? I did not try to create a sub-user through the CLI (which may or may not work), just wanted to go through the "official" functions available on the GUI, also to avoid potential issues on future upgrades.
Thanks in advance,

We did consider adding sub-users but we had to focus on the features with higher priorities for this release. We do constantly enhance the product, i cannot say but it is possible it could be added in the future, hearing user feedback is quite important for us.
You can create sub users manually now via cli, it will not break things, this is a fundamental goal/requirement in PetaSAN to support any low level ceph commands you do via cli, if we do add sub-users support, your manually created sub users will be supported.
Thanks for the positive feedback 🙂
