run Petasan over 2 Datacenter with different Networks

Hello all,

I am currently trying to find out if there is a possibility to run the Petasan cluster in different networks.

In our case, we currently have the following representation:
2 data centers with 2 servers each with 2 NICs which are however in different networks.
There is no possibility to make a network across both datacenters.

Now to my questions. Does the installation and synchronization of the disk work with 4 different networks if they can communicate with each other?

What would be the best installation option that we could use?

Thanks for the help.

So long as those networks can speak to each other, even over the public Internet, this is possible. Is it advisable? Not at all. Not only would you need some sort of VPN between the two (I assume you care about data integrity), but you would also need sufficient bandwidth (both speed and capacity) to replicate like that.

You would be better served by either deploying a third node in each location, or moving one server to a different location. I don't believe attempting to run this over the public internet will work the way you want it to work.
