PetaSAN installation on a RAID1 volume

Good morning,

I'm installing Petasan on Dell PowerEdge servers. I created a RAID1 volume in server setup with the 2 SATA  1TB disks, but in the Petasan installer I see the two separated disks instead of the mirrored volume (see attached picture).

I then choose une of them (sda), and Petasan actually installs on it and boots, but if I go in server setup again I see that the RAID1 is broken !

Is there a special procedure to install Petasan on a RAID1 volume ?  Thanks.

The hardware RAID configuration should present the drives to the OS/kernel as 1 drive at the hardware level, here we are see-ing 2 distinct drives at the OS level even with their distinct serial numbers. Could be a configuration error or may the type of controller is not supported, some lower end system provide "Fake RAID" which is not supported by Linux.

I'm afraid it is the second option, as the main high-end controller manages the OSDs, while the RAID1 volume is managed by a second less powerful controller.
