New Features:
- Cluster Tuning Templates: Allows choosing from ready-made templates when creating a new cluster. Advanced users can define their own or customize existing ones. Templates define parameters for Ceph, LIO and Kernel sysctl/udev.
- Cluster Benchmarking and load analysis: Provides an easy to use method for benchmarking the cluster. Aggregates Throughput and IOPS data from different storage nodes and shows load utilization of the various resources to help identify bottlenecks.
- Storage Nodes Stats: Displays different metrics of node resources such as cpu/ram/disk/net via the PetaSAN dashboard. Data is kept in the time series database for 1 year.
- Test disks performance: Performs a variety of low level disk performance tests.
- Interfaces re-ordering/renaming: Allows user to define a custom ordering of network cards, useful after replacing hardware.
- Gather system logs: Gathers various log files and os state from various nodes into a single tar file that helps in cases of troubleshooting deployment issues.
- Move path tool: cli tool to move active running paths between nodes.
- System update: upgrade to Ceph Jewel 10.2.9 latest stable and Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Known Issues in the Release:
- Does not support caching using SSDs. All disks are used equally.
